Starbright World

The brainchild of Stephen Spielberg, Starbright World is a private, secure, interactive computer network designed especially for, and networked with, kids who are hospitalized at children's hospitals nationwide. Through the "Find a Friend" feature, kids can search for and connect with other hospitalized children who share similar situations or illnesses. They can engage in single or multi-user activities that provide them with high-speed friendship-building or distract them from painful procedures. Through Starbright World, kids at Blank Children's Hospital can also can learn about illnesses, procedures and definitions of difficult medical terms.
