Preparing for a ThinkFirst Iowa Presentation
Equipment Needs
When the ThinkFirst Iowa Program arrives at your school it would be greatly appreciated if you have the audio-visual equipment listed below available and set up. If everything is ready prior to us arriving, we will be able to start on time.
Equipment includes:
- PA System or Microphone (If Applicable)
- Projection Screen
- Cart or Table for Projector
- Extension Cord
Seatbelt Survey
Due to the low percentage of safety belt usage by high school students throughout the state, the Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau recommends each school conduct a safety belt observation prior to the assembly. Select one or two students to observe vehicles and drivers as they enter parking lot entrances. Make sure students are in a safe location. Log the results on the worksheet and return the day of the assembly.
Promote ThinkFirst Iowa
Encourage parents or community members to attend the ThinkFirst Iowa presentation by publicizing the event in your school's newsletter or web site. Remember to include the date, time and location.
