Chaplains & Pastoral Care
Blank Children's Hospital offers hospital chaplains to provide spiritual and emotional support. Our chaplains serve many faiths and traditions. As members of your child's care team, our chaplains can offer your family comfort during the treatment process.
We welcome calls - day or night - from patients and families. Our chaplains can help your family with:

Feelings of anxiety, fear, guilt, vulnerability, discouragement, sadness or loneliness

Chaplains are available 24 hours a day to provide support. Priests and clergy of other faiths may be contacted upon request. Call the operator for assistance.
Our Chapel & Services
Services for patients and visitors are held in the nondenominational Jeanne Hoff Goodwin Chapel located on the first floor of Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Sunday services may also be viewed from the television in your child's room on channel 17.
